MarineGeek.com is a free forum; we are a community of aquarium hobbyists. Your posts or subject matter should be limited to the topic at hand, or given in response to the particular subject discussion. Keep your posts friendly, and above all PG. MarineGeek.com has a ZERO (0) Tolerance policy when it comes to any rude, disrespectful, or hurtful forum behavior. If perusing the site you come across any violations or have concerns regarding the context of a particular post or thread, please report it to us, and we will address any concerns or difficulties you have encountered. Here at MarineGeek.com we invite all members to participate in all areas of the site, there are however some guidelines that must be adhered to.

This is a website for newbies to the aquarium hobby as well as veterans of the aquarium hobby. • You may disagree with a person’s point of view, and we encourage you to debate your opinions, however we expect you to do so respectfully.
• No slamming of any sort will be tolerated. Personal attacks, gossip, disparaging remarks, or any information which is unsubstantiated or misleading should not be posted.
• There shall be no bullying, harassment, stalking or predatory behavior on this forum, any acts that are deemed to be harmful or dangerous shall result in your account being suspended or banned.
• Spam of any sort will not be tolerated. Do not use our forum, private messaging, or blogs as a platform for spam of any sort

• Do not use this forum to disparage other forum communities or pet stores. We encourage you to tell us of your experience, however bashing will not be tolerated.

• Do not post copy written material. Information copyrighted by an individual or entity other than the member should not be posted on the discussion forums without the consent of the owner. Copyrighted material includes images and text produced and owned by others. If such an event occurs, the individual posting the information shall be held solely responsible. You cannot legally post entire articles or news in the forum; you can post a partial abstract or give a brief summarization about the topic. You may also post a link to the article.
• Your signature line shall not contain in appropriate subject matter or have a web address attached unless specified as a sponsor signature.

• Sponsors shall not direct others to any pages at their own commercial website or website in which they have a commercial interest except in the sponsor Forums.

MarineGeek.com is deeply dedicated to this hobby and as such we are sensitive to the ethical treatment of all living animals. As an aquarium owner and as an aquarist you are responsible for the lives of the animals in your care. We expect for you to treat such animals humanely. Any posts or discussions as to inhumanely keeping, collecting or disposing of live animals shall be removed.
